Mickey Mouse has Disney World and golf has World Golf Village. This 6,300-acre master-planned community is dedicated to the sport of golf and those who love it. Located just south of Jacksonville in northeast Florida, this PGA Tour Productions headquarters offers great schools, an Imax theater, shopping and the World Golf Hall of Fame.

Golfing enthusiasts can experience the two courses offered at World Golf Village. Designed by Bobby Weed, Slammer and Squire, was named after consultants Sam Snead (Slammer) and Gene Sarazan (Squire.) This par-72, 18-hole course combines the natural landscape of lakes, ponds and wetlands with the somewhat hilly terrain to entice golfers of all skill levels. The King and Bear course was created by Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer. A third course is planned in the river tract section. The PGA Tour Golf Academy is coming soon and will offer professionals who can teach both groups and individuals how to improve their swings.

The list of amenities goes on and on but one of the more notable attractions is the 75,000-square-foot World Golf Hall of Fame museum, which showcases talented golfers in unique exhibits. Fine dining, shopping, fishing lakes, wildlife preserve, baseball diamonds, soccer fields, playground and a 3.8 swim and tennis center all await the residents of World Golf Village.
